Chet Edwards for Congress, the organization that operates www.chetedwards.com, is the sole owner of the information it gathers on its site. We use email links located on the Contact us page and other areas of the site to allow you to contact us directly with any questions or comments you may have. We read every message sent in and try to reply promptly to every one. We want to respond directly to your questions or comments. We may also file your comments to improve the site and program, or review and discard the information. When you volunteer
When you complete the online form to volunteer and help reelect Chet Edwards, we ask your name, address, telephone number, and email address. We may also ask who referred you to the campaign. We use the information you provide to send you campaign news, and credit the individuals working to reelect Chet. We will not sell this information to any third party — not under any circumstance. We do work closely with other Democratic candidates, parties, and allied organizations. If you give your consent on our volunteer form, and only if you check this box (opt-in), will we share some basic contact information with others.

Making an online financial contribution to the campaign.
We must provide the Federal Election Commission information on our campaign contributors. We are required to file periodic campaign reports. You provide specific personal information when you make a contribution on our site. The information includes: your name, address, the amount of the contribution, your employer, occupation, e-mail address, telephone number, and payment information including credit card, amount, and card expiration date.

We use the VeriSign application to enable safe and secure online contributions to the campaign.
We may also collect certain non-personal information including the type of browser you are using (e.g. Netscape, Internet Explorer), the type of operating system you are using (e.g. Mac OS, Windows, Linux) and the domain name of your Internet service provider (e.g. America Online, Earthlink). We use the information you provide about yourself to accept and document your contribution, to respond to your inquiries about your contribution and to notify you about the status of your contribution.
